Cochinita Pibil






My favorite tacos at Frontera Fresco are the Cochinita Pibil. Delicous pork with marinated red onions. Jack and I each shared this plate of tacos. It was so hard to stick with one taco, but we also shared the delicious Poblano corn chowder and tortilla soup!

Chandos







Chandos is a little taco stand on Arden Way, across from the old Lumber Jack store. I first tried their tacos at the tamale festival last September and was so excited to find their permanent location the other day while running errands. The tacos al pastor are delicious! Taco's my way!


These are my favorite at home...a corn tortilla with the extra lean ground beef from Nugget Market, a sprinkle of cheese, lettuce and our homemade pico de gallo. My mouth is watering just thinking of it!

It's always a taco day at our house!


Russ loves fish tacos. We grill some fresh tilipia and garnish them with some chipotle sauce, cabbage and our pico de gallo. The tortillas are our new favorite - mild red chile by Mi Abuelita Tortillas - a local company.

Celebration Taco!




After 3 1/2 years, I got my braces off yesterday. To celebrate, we went to Emma's for one of my all time favorite foods - the crunchy beef taco! I've been eating them at Emma's all my life and it's been a long 3 1/2 years without them! The taco was just as delicious as ever. Of course, the margaritas were the perfect way to wash it down!

Tacos at Frontera Fresco
















I have 2 favorite chefs - Rick Bayless and Bobby Flay. Well, we made a trip to SF on Monday to try out Rick's Frontera Fresco in the cellar of Macy's at Union Square. Everything was delicious! We tried the chipotle chicken tacos, tacos al pastor (pulled pork), steak huarache, chicken quesedilla, chips, 3 salsas, guacamole and the different limeades. We were in heaven! Pardon the pictures, but I brought an older camera with me and so the pics are a little blurry.

Fish Tacos


Last night, we grilled some fresh Tilapia from Nugget Market to make fish tacos. The corn tortillas are made by the company "Mi Abuelita's of Sacrament." They are the Sonoran corn and are just delicous! Russ likes to use a Chipotle sauce we buy at Nugget. These tacos were muy delicioso and easy to make!
